Filters
This is where you set all preferences for filtering the output from a parsed
log. Filtering includes: player names, NPC names, speaker type (ie. PC, NPC),
chat type (group, guild, private, etc.), channels, text, and date/time filtering.
Character Filters
Currently these filters will only take one choice each. By using these you
will be able to filter the output to only display chat from specific players,
NPCs or channels. Your own chat will be displayed as well.
- Player Names: You can display a specific player's chat, including
you chat with this option.
- NPC Names: You can display a specific non-player character's chat,
including you chat with this option.
- Channels: You display specific chat in channels with this option.
Chat Type Filters
These options will filter the output to specific categories of chat. Any combination
of near by, channel, private, guild,
group and character type can be specified.
- Character Type: You can display chat from players, NPCs or both with
this option.
- Near By: You can display all near by chat, ie. not: a /tell, group
say or guild say.
- Channels: You can filter specific chat in channels with this option.
ie. not: a /tell, group say, guild say or /say.
- Private: You can filter to private chat with this option. ie. not:
channel chat, group say, guild say or /say.
- Guild: You can filter to guild chat with this option. ie. not: channel
chat, group say, /tell or /say.
- Group: You can filter to group chat with this option. ie. not: channel
chat, guild say, /tell or /say.
Text and Date Filters
These options will allow you to filter the chat output to only include items
from a list of search strings and/or from certain date and times to specified
dates and times. To enable date filtering you must check off the box next to
each filter you wish to consider.
- Search Strings: You can filter chat where it contains strings listed
here. Click "Add" to include the string in the list of strings to
filter on. "Delete" will remove the currently selected item in the
box to the right from the list of strings to search by. "Clear"
will empty the list of all additions to the string filter.
- Must Have All Items: Causes the filter to only include chat that
contains all the items listed in the "Search Strings" list to the
right of the "Search Strings" entry box.
- From Date: Date for inclusion of chat in the output. The box to the
right must be checked to include filtering from a specific start date.
- From Time: Start time for consideration of inclusion in the output.
This is used in conjunction with "From Date".
- To Date: Date for the end of inclusion of chat in the output. The
box to the right must be checked to include filtering to a specific end date.
- To Time: End time for consideration of inclusion in the output. This
is used in conjunction with "To Date".
